JOSBEN International Business School
Checkout & Payment Policy
Effective Date: 1st August 2026.
Last Updated: 31st July 2026.
- Introduction
This Checkout & Payment Policy governs payments made through the JOSBEN International Business School online portal (“Portal”). By proceeding with a payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this policy.
JOSBEN International Business School (“JOSBEN,” “the School,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) reserves the right to amend this policy when necessary. Any changes will be published on the Portal.
- Payments Accepted
The Portal may accept payments for services and fees including, but not limited to:
- Application and registration fees
- Tuition and course fees
- Examination and assessment fees
- Certification fees
- Administrative fees
- Professional development and training programmes
- Other fees or services displayed on the Portal
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout and may include debit cards, credit cards, bank transfers, or other approved electronic payment methods.
- Checkout Process
Before completing a transaction, you are responsible for reviewing:
- The programme or service selected
- The applicable fee
- Your personal and billing information
- Any applicable taxes, charges, or transaction fees
- The payment method selected
- Any applicable payment deadlines
Once you confirm your payment, you will receive a payment confirmation or receipt through the email address associated with your account, where applicable.
- Payment Authorisation
All payments are subject to successful authorisation by the relevant payment provider or financial institution.
JOSBEN reserves the right to decline, cancel, or place a transaction on hold where:
- Payment authorisation is unsuccessful;
- The transaction appears suspicious or fraudulent;
- Incorrect payment information has been provided;
- The payment does not correspond with an authorised JOSBEN service or fee; or
- There are reasonable grounds to believe that the transaction may violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Payment Confirmation
A payment is considered successfully completed only when the Portal or payment provider confirms the transaction.
A pending transaction, failed transaction, or bank-authorisation message does not necessarily mean that JOSBEN has received the payment.
If your account has been debited but you have not received a confirmation, please contact JOSBEN with your payment reference or transaction details before making another payment.
- Fees and Charges
All applicable fees will be displayed on the Portal before payment is submitted.
You are responsible for ensuring that the amount paid is correct. Where applicable, additional charges imposed by your bank, card issuer, payment provider, currency conversion provider, or other third parties may be payable by you.
- Refunds and Cancellations
Refund eligibility depends on the type of payment and the applicable JOSBEN programme or service terms.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Application, registration, administrative, and processing fees may be non-refundable.
- Tuition or programme payments may be refundable only in accordance with the applicable enrolment or withdrawal terms.
- Refund requests must be submitted through the designated JOSBEN support or administrative channel.
- Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method where practicable.
- JOSBEN may deduct applicable administrative or processing charges where permitted.
Submitting a payment does not automatically create a right to a refund.
- Duplicate or Incorrect Payments
If you believe that you have made a duplicate payment or paid an incorrect amount, you should contact JOSBEN as soon as possible.
Please provide:
- Your full name
- Student or application number, where applicable
- Date of payment
- Amount paid
- Payment reference or transaction ID
- A description of the issue
JOSBEN will review the transaction and, where appropriate, arrange a correction or refund in accordance with its applicable procedures.
- Failed Transactions
If a payment fails, you may be required to retry the transaction or use an alternative payment method.
JOSBEN is not responsible for payment failures caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including bank restrictions, card declines, payment-provider outages, insufficient funds, incorrect payment details, or network interruptions.
- Payment Security
JOSBEN takes reasonable measures to protect payment and personal information submitted through the Portal.
Where payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, payment information may be handled in accordance with that provider’s terms, security standards, and privacy policy.
Users must not share their Portal passwords, payment authentication codes, or other confidential security information with third parties.
- Fraud Prevention
JOSBEN reserves the right to investigate transactions that appear fraudulent, unauthorised, or otherwise irregular.
Where necessary, a transaction may be delayed, cancelled, or reported to the appropriate payment provider or competent authority.
If you believe that an unauthorised payment has been made using your account or payment method, you should notify your bank or payment provider immediately and contact JOSBEN.
- Currency
Where applicable, the currency in which a fee is payable will be clearly displayed during checkout.
If your bank account or payment card uses a different currency, your financial institution or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate and currency-conversion charges.
- Payment Deadlines
Certain programmes, courses, or services may have specific payment deadlines.
Failure to make payment by the stated deadline may result in:
- Cancellation or suspension of registration;
- Loss of access to certain Portal services;
- Ineligibility to participate in a programme or assessment; or
- Other administrative consequences specified by JOSBEN.
- Student Responsibility
Before completing checkout, users are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate and complete.
JOSBEN will not normally be responsible for delays or complications resulting from incorrect information supplied by the user.
- Technical Issues
JOSBEN aims to maintain the availability and functionality of its online payment facilities but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
If you experience a technical problem during checkout, do not repeatedly submit the same payment without first checking whether the original transaction was successful.
- Third-Party Payment Providers
Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways or financial institutions.
JOSBEN is not responsible for the independent terms, policies, service availability, exchange rates, or processing practices of third-party payment providers.
Users should review the relevant provider’s terms where applicable.
